Another of our fabulous supporters has taken up the Hero365 challenge to raise funds for HHHO after signing up at our annual dinner last September. Adam Snelleksz helps with the marketing here at the cancer centre by coming in once a week and working with the team to help get the message out about our services but after entering the competition at the annual dinner to win a holiday by signing up, he has taken on the challenge to raise £850.
Adam decided to raise the funds by taking on a painful challenge – getting his legs waxed, a decision he regretted after the waxing started! One of our amazing supporters – Omarosa Aesthetics offered to do the waxing at their location on the Stratford Road in Shirley, Solihull and they made sure it was a very comprehensive job! Omarosa have supported us with their two Brow Bar takeover days this year where they have donated all of the proceeds of eyebrow treatments to our services raising nearly £1000 in the process. Adam went through the 30 minute process with an audience of Georgie and staff from Omarosa who were also filming and taking photos and while the end result was to raise as much money as possible, it has definitely left Adam not wanting to do it again!
He is well on the way to hitting his target of £850 from his challenge and despite suffering the pain of the waxing, he knows the pain will be worth it! The Hero365 challenge involves raising the amount of money it costs to run the HHHO cancer centre for just one day – £850 and Adam is one of 365 people who we are looking for to take on the challenge. The ultimate goal is to find enough people who can fund the centre for a whole year!
