Celebrity Supporters Make A Video For World Cancer Day

For World Cancer Day, we approached our celebrity supporters and ambassadors to help us create a video that gets across our message about the services we provide and to demonstrate our understanding of what cancer actually means to those people affected by it.  The video is opened by Ben Shephard and a different line is then read by James and Oliver Phelps – the Weasley twins from Harry Potter, BBC Radio WM’s Ed James, our own Georgie Moseley and the owner of Birmingham City FC, Tom Wagner.  The video finishes on US based Wagner from his New York office to emphasise the message for WORLD cancer day.

The video was released at 9am onFebruary 4th, World Cancer Day, across our social media channels and the main intention was to raise awareness about our services on a day when cancer is a focus in the media.  Of course we are here for people affected by cancer every day of the year and our focus is always on the before, during and after treatment.  Our challenge to the Government now is to make good on its promises on cancer care that have been announced and we are, once agin, repeating our invite to the Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, to come along and visit us here at the drop in cancer centre in Birmingham to see the services we provide and the impact it has on the local community.

The full video can be seen here on our Facebook page but is also available on LinkedIn and, X and Instagram.
