Emma Harlin, A colorectal nurse at Heartlands is one of many nurses across UHB that refers cancer patients and their families to Help Harry Help Others.
Being aware that HHHO doesnt receive government funding and with NO clinical pyschologists or counsellors across NHS cancer services within Birmigham, when Emma needed motivation to train for the Manchester Marathon – she decided to run for HHHO to help support our lifeline services.
Emma successfully raised over £1450 and more importantly completed her marathon too. Following her run Georgie was delighted to meet her at the opening of the new Ruth Astley Centre at Heartlands Hospital where she draw a raffle that supported her fundraising efforts.
We are extremely grateful to Emma for her incredible efforts supporting us and are in full admiration of her.
