This academic year has seen HHHO benefit from the support of staff and pupils at Eversfield Preparatory School.
Both the teachers, pupils and parents have shown commitment and dedication to HHHO, not just by their efforts in fundraising for us, but also by helping raising awareness for the work we do.
On Thursday 5th June 2025, Georgie visited the schools end of year Charity day to speak with pupils who had took part in their ‘Fantastic Fivers’ event and also be a part of the opening of the day where pupils sang songs to parents in the grounds of the school ahead of being presented a cheque for their years efforts.
Georgie was overwhelmed and got emotional when Mr Yates, Headteacher and Head Boy and Girl presented Georgie with a cheque for a staggering £13,769.92. Georgie was able to share a few words with everyone to share just how the money would make a huge difference to the adults and children supported from our Drop In Cancer Support Centre.
Georgie Said “I was completely blown away at the staggering sum of money raised for HHHO. Being responsible for keeping everything going at the cancer centre in a very challenging climate, where the third sector recently revealed that small charities are experiencing a triple whammy of increased costs, increase in demand for services and yet a falling income is a huge challenge right now for every charity, including HHHO. The support of Eversfields ongoing efforts via many fundraising events they organised and ran throughout the year, combined with the lovely atmosphere of the day, and phenomenal amount raised made me very emotional. We are just so grateful for their wonderful support and the difference the money will make to our service users.”
