Moseley based restaurant Greek Aura made sure that our service users were well fed in June with a (literally) smashing lunch and Greek experience at the drop-in cancer centre. To celebrate Help Harry Help Others becoming their nominated charity, the restaurant owners Miri and Ola brought the full Greek experience to the centre with plenty of food, flags and even plate smashing in the car park!
We decorated the drop-in cancer centre to create a Greek atmosphere and even had some Greek sunshine to get everyone in the mood and our service users made sure that they got into the mood with Greek music playing too. The staff from Greek Aura brought plenty of food direct from the restaurant including Gyros wraps, chicken and pork mix, halloumi, falafel, Vegan Wraps, chips and Hummus. The lunch was rounded off in the traditional Greek way with plate smashing in the car park as Georgie and the service users got into the swing of things with some dancing and smashing!

Speaking about the event, Georgie said: “We have had such a brilliant time with the team from Greek Aura and we really appreciate the time and effort they have put in to make this such a fun lunch for our service users and staff. The food is absolutely amazing and the comments from our service users have all been about how delicious everything was. There’ll definitely be some new customers at Greek Aura after this in the coming weeks! Most importantly, we are so grateful that Greek Aura have chosen us as the charity that they would like to support and it will make such a difference to us and the services we provide for anyone affected by cancer in Birmingham.”
Greek Aura can be found on Alcester Road in Moseley and it provides a true Greek experience with indoor and outdoor seating available and a traditional menu for anyone who loves food from Greece.
