On Friday 16th May 2025, Georgie joined Macmillan, UHB and many other commnunity based charities and organisations to participate in some outreach work aimed at supporting different cultures within that community.
Based at Highgate Baptist Church, All stall holders including HHHO, macmillan, UHB, Aquaries, The Chinese Community Centre, Green Lane Mosque Cancer Services, The ICB and others come together to offer information and support for anyone affected by cancer.
The area has a low pick up in cancer support and screening and the day was an opportunity to support a hard to reach community.
Georgie says “It is always a privilege for HHHO to support such initiatives. Everyone gets affected by cancer, and we are keen to understand the needs of other communities and cultures. It is only by taking the time out that we can learn from others that need support”.
