We were delighted to hear that National Gas Metering (NGM) had chosen to support us with their community focus for staff and that they wanted to feature us on their staff away day with a bracelet making, team building exercise. Over 150 staff met at the Holiday Inn hotel near to Birmingham airport and took part in a huge bracelet making session to make a batch of bracelets for us to sell at future events.
The day started with a video that featured Harry and Georgie welcoming everyone and thanking them for coming along before our video showing our technique for bracelet making which is taken from Harry’s original instructions. The bracelet making session ended up with over 1000 bracelets made featuring colours for the various cancer awareness months and we will be selling these on our website as well as various events throughout the year. In addition, we received nearly £300 in donations on the day from the staff who bought some of the bracelets that they had made.
The overall feedback from the day was really positive with many of the NGM staff telling us what a good day they had and how Harry’s story had touched them. We would just like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the staff from NGM for their time, efforts and kind donations, we really appreciate it.
