Time4Teens

Whatever the age, cancer affects all. Whilst we have always supported young people with cancer, we wanted to provide a service that caters specifically for young people with cancer or have been affected by cancer through family members or friends.

As well as our one to one emotional support and professional counselling service, our ‘Time4Teens’ sessions is a weekly after school club run for teenagers and led by a qualified counsellor.  The group is for young people aged 12 to 15 years and takes place on a Monday during term time from 4.30pm to 6pm.

The group is about having fun and being amongst others that are going through similar experiences.  It is a place where young people can switch off from their respective situations or talk to others going through the same experiences. This is open to young people with cancer, carers, family members, siblings, and school/college friends.

Weekly activities include things like quizzes, bake-offs, arts & crafts are combined with life skills sessions that can benefit our young people navigating through life, cancer and more. We also offer day trips, which can give them space to be teenagers and time out for themselves.
