This year, St Alphege Rotary Club in Solihull have chosen to support us and used their recent Bollywood Evening to raise funds to help us deliver our services for people affected by cancer in Birmingham and the West Midlands. The Bollywood evening featured a night of dance, entertainment and food with people from the local area enjoying the entertainment and food whilst also supporting our charity.
Held at The Village Hotel in Solihull, we were so grateful for the money raised and it will go a long way in helping us to keep providing our services. Georgie went along to experience the entertainment on the night and to say a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed and in particular, St Alphege Rotary Club, led by Gurdip.
Georgie said: “We are incredibly grateful to St Alphege Rotary Club for their support. Without organisations like Rotary, our services simply could not continue. We would love to welcome Rotary members to visit the centre and see the impact first-hand.”
After working with the Rotary Club in Solihull, we hope to get involved with them again as well as possibly involving Rotary Clubs around the world in the future when World Cancer Day comes around in 2027.
