We are delighted to tell our incredible supporters that the Birmingham Walkathon, held on April 2nd, with the support of our sponsors and amazing walkers the event has generated approx £70,000 and the final amount continues to grow as fundraising pages remain open. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the nearly 1,000 Brummies who participated in the walkathon, helping us raise much-needed funds for local charities.
We are very proud to have collaborated with David Bagley, the former BRMB director and original visionary behind the event, to revive the famous walkathon. Along with other local charities such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital, NSPCC Birmingham, Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid, We Are All Making A Difference, and Birmingham Mind, we will benefit from the funds raised!
In the last few years, many charities across the city have faced significant difficulties, so bringing back an event like the Walkathon means everything to us and those who rely on the support of these fantastic charities. We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support from the wonderful people of Birmingham who came together to help support their community and local charities.
We are thrilled to announce that the event will return in 2024, although the date has yet to be confirmed. We cannot wait to see the people of Birmingham come together once again to support local charities and make a difference in the community.
