Out of the blue in May Georgie received a lovely email from Class 13 & 14, year 6 pupils at Bentley Heath Primary School in Solihull. The children were organising their charity day scheduled for 20th June 2025, and asked permission and for words of encouragement for their event in support of Help Harry Help Others.
For a few weeks Georgie and the pupils were emaiing back and forth and Georgie was gutted to not be able to attend their special day as it was her birthday and she was away for a long weekend. Instead she offered to go and visit the school following their event to hear all about it and talk with students about their team efforts to organising and hosting the day.
The children had written to the local community inviting them in for a coffee and bake sale morning, and in the afternoon they held a charity day with different stalls. Collectively they raised over £2,500 for HHHO. A huge achievement where Georgie wanted to express her heartfelt gratitude.
On Monday 14th July 2025, Georgie was invited into school to sit with both class groups. During the time their, Georgie answerd lots of questions about the charity and also had a opportunity to ask them questions too.
Jo Page, one of the teachers that supported the childrens efforts could not thank Georgie enough for the ongoing communication and words of encouragement via email to the students. Jo also commented that HHHO was the first charity to want to go into school to spend time with the children.
Georgie Said ” All the children really embraced Harry’s charity and their task of organising an annual charity day. To be able to share my appreciation by visiting school and spending time with them was the least I could do. Everyone likes to feel their worth and by me expressing interest and appreciation in their work will motivate them to keep doing good things for others. Whatever people raise for HHHO, they all put so much effort in, and where possible I will always have a presence to show how appreciated their support is”.
A huge well done and thank you to all pupils at Bentley Heath Primary School and for making a difference to all those affected by cancer.
