We celebrated our Hero365 campaign heroes with a special event in January and the unveiling of a new feature at the drop in cancer centre in Birmingham to commemorate and recognise everyone who has taken part. More than 40 people turned up to see the brand new Hero365 Wall of Fame on display at the front of the building with more than 30 engraved plaques displaying the names of the businesses and individuals who took on the challenge of raising £850 in 2025.
Our Hero365 challenge is all about raising money to fund the centre for a whole year. Our running costs are £850 per day which why we have that figure as the target and our aim is to find 365 people to each fund a day at the centre meaning that our group of heroes can ensure that we keep on running for another year. You can choose a day to dedicate your funds to and this could be a special date or a day that means something to you.
As we recognised the first wave of Hero365 fundraisers, our event was a celebration of all of the fundraising efforts. From climbing up mountains to running marathons, cycling across the country and even leg waxing, our heroes have gone above and beyond to help keep the drop in cancer support centre going. We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands, Wade Lyn who gave a speech and our chairman of the board of trustees, Tom Ross hosted proceedings. We also heard from Sam, a service user who has benefitted from our services for many years, who told the audience how HHHO has helped him in so many different ways.
Overall the event was huge success with many people delighted to see their names commemorated on the Wall of Fame forever and many signing up for the challenge of raising £850 in 2026. If you would like to help keep our drop in cancer centre and all of the services we provide going in 2026, you can take on the Hero365 challenge and sign up here
