[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In April, Georgie was invited to be on set for an interview and a makeover on the new Katie Piper Weekend Escape which started on Started on Sunday 20th April on ITV1 at 8.25am.
Georgie was thrilled to be invited as she has always held dear to her heart that Harry’s dream was to share his story on a sofa on National TV, and therefore anytime she is asked it means more than anyone could every understand.
During the filming, Georgie got to be interviewed by Katie Piper who asked about Harry, his story and the charities work to date. Following the interview, Georgie had a real treat of sitting and having her hair styled by Michael Douglas and her make up done by Genevieve Turley.
Georgie was blown away to be asked to be guest of honour on the show which aired on ITV on Sunday 27th April (episode 2). For Georgie, whilst the pampering was a real treat, the excitement was being able to share Harry’s story with everyone in the hope that we reach more people that need our support.
They also interviewed Georgie’s daughter Dani and her now friend Kate whose family has also received support during a terminal diagnosis within her family.
Now supporting over 1500 adults and children affected by any type of cancer and seeing over 150 people per week walk through our doors, the awareness of being on such a programme can move mountains. Georgie thanks all the team at ITV for hosting her, Dani and kate.
